Orlando, FL, September 15, 2008 – NovaSol Energy, Corp., an emerging independent virtual green power company committed to providing clean energy for commercial customers, announces today that it has joined the University of Central Florida’s Technology Incubation Program. The Company provides renewable energy to commercial customers at no upfront costs to them, making energy use both economical and environmental.
“Our partnership with UCF will facilitate NovaSol Energy’s growth in Central Florida as well as provide resources to develop the company’s energy technologies,” said Haseeb Qadri, Founder and CEO of NovaSol Energy. The Company has an innovative energy technology in research phase to be developed at UCF, and is in discussions with the National Science Foundation (NSF), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), as well as industry partners for possible collaboration to further its development.
“Florida, the ‘Sunshine State’, is long overdue in developing an aggressive policy for a real sustainable renewable energy sector. We (the state) have the talent and resources to be a national leader of renewable energy generation,” said Mr. Qadri. “Florida is one of the top three hardest hit states as a result of the housing and economic crisis. NovaSol Energy will create high-paying ‘green jobs’ throughout the Central Florida community in the coming months. We are also in preliminary discussions with some of our partners to relocate their manufacturing facilities in our state, reducing costs for our industry and creating more jobs.”
NovaSol Energy owns, installs, and operates renewable generation facilities at a customer’s location and sells the power generated via a long term power purchase agreement, or PPA. Customers have the security of predictable pricing, and are protected from any spikes in fuel costs for the duration of their PPA. The company's customers can strengthen their brand with their consumers by displaying renewable energy production statistics and showing their commitment towards environmental stewardship. |
